BS2246 Business, Government and Society A Mock Exam Instructions to Candidates: There are TWO (2) sections in TOTAL: Answer ALL multiple choice questions in SECTION A. There is only one correct answer per question. Answer any ONE (1) case study in SECTION B. Disclaimer: Section B of this mock paper asks you to answer one of three case studies. These case studies are based on seminars 1, 2 and 3. That is, the case studies themselves are different, but questions after them are the same as in seminars 1, 2 and 3 (apart from questions which ask you to "carry out research ... " - they will not appear either in the mock paper or in the actual exam, because it is a closed-book examination and you will not be able to conduct a Web search; similarly, exam questions will not have references to numbers of lecture slides because you won't be able to access the lectures). The structure of your summer exam will be identical to this mock paper. It will also require you to answer one of three case studies based on seminars. Recall that we had a total of five seminar questions sheets, and any three of them may come up in the exam. They will not necessarily be seminars 1, 2 and 3 so please revise all seminar question sheets and model answers. In the case study section of the exam, I expect you to write 2-3 paragraphs for each question. Remember these are "short answer questions", not essay questions. You don't need to know any facts about the company in question - this is a closed-book exam so you won't be able to do a web search! Just use the information provided in the case study, it will always have a short description of the company's business. You do, however, need to know theories/concepts mentioned in one of the questions of each of the seminar question sheets. Please refer to the "revision" section of Blackboard for a list of theories you need to know.
