Identifying Information: · Referred by: Someone from Kevin's office referred to family counselor · Date of assessment: February 25, 2020 · Specific problems, issues, concerns: Irene left kevin with the children and the house, kevin cannot financially support the children on his own as well as make payments on the mortgage. Kevin is concerned that he might lose the house if he is not able to afford the mortgage payments. He is also concerned about how this will affect the children in the long run. Ryleigh feels withdrawn, lonely. finding it difficult to focus on school, blaming herself for what is happening. Ryleigh is concerned that her parents won't get back together, and she misses her mother. Ryleigh is noticing her father is having a difficult time. Paul is showing signs of withdrawal and aggression , and is often seen alone at school ryleigh mentioned. He has been lashing out lately, projecting his feelings of blame. However, every since the marital problems started they stopped going. · Family background: Kevin has a history of being depressed, verbal aggression. Ryleigh is delayed in her reading skills, she is a grade lower in her learning. irene and paul are relatively normal in regards to medical and developmental concerns. Irene is somewhat of a workaholic and is very devoted to her job. which results in putting her work before her family. 3. Family Functioning · Current stressors: There is conflict between Kevin and Irene. Kevin's verbal aggression drove irene to leave the house. Kevin is Stressed about being able to be financially stable. Irene is always focussed at work which makes Kevin get so angry. This becomes a circular pattern. the lack of family time that irene can not give.
