ACECQA In Home Care Quality and Safety Project Family Information What is this project about? ACECQA has been engaged by the Australian Government to deliver the In Home Care (IHC) Quality and Safety Project. We work closely with governments and the children's education and care sector to ensure all children have the best start in life through high quality education and care. What is being done? Building on the strengths of the current IHC Program, ACECQA is working collaboratively with IHC Support Agencies, providers, services and current regulators to develop a refreshed national approach aligned with best-practice quality and safety standards. The enhanced approach will be supported by a professional development program to strengthen the capability of IHC educators, enable sustainable quality improvement and build communities of practice. When is this happening? ACECQA will be delivering this project over the next two years: Mid 2024 A new professional development program for IHC educators to support improved quality and safety practices and sustainable quality improvement. Early 2024 Late 2023 . Sharing the draft framework with a small group of IHC Support Agencies, providers, services, educators and families to improve and get feedback. .
