Your dream career. Ponder seriously for a few minutes the type of job you ideally want to perform during the early stages of your career. Develop a bulleted list of 10 items that you feel are necessary to prepare yourself for this type of opportunity. In a short, onepage memorandum addressed to your instructor, list these 10 items, and in a brief paragraph describe the actions and resources that may be necessary to address all 10 before you graduate from college.

Interview of a seasoned professional. Locate a seasoned professional in your local area, and conduct a short interview concerning his or her career. In a short report, describe how he or she may have prepared hisor herself for his or her career. Further, describe his or her current job and the responsibilities that he or she has been given. Describe the types of positions he or she has held in the past. In a small group of students within your class, describe your case study of a seasoned professional.

Problem 3

Develop a résumé. Using an Internet resource or the resources available at your school, develop a professional résumé. Gather some feedback by sharing the résumé with your instructors, close friends, and perhaps a professional working the natural resource management field. Then, develop a list of things you can do over the next year that will build upon or enhance your résumé.
