00:01 Hello everyone in this question we'll learn about some basic concept of the cost price and selling price and how to find the profit right the question is a person makes a profit of 20 % after giving 20 % discount on the marked price we have to find the marked price is what percentage of the cost price of the article right so to solve this question let's assume that the cost price of the article is 100 rupees the marked price of the article let's say it is x then according to the question x multiplied by 80 by 100 is equals to 100 multiplied by 120 by 100 right because he is earning a 20 % profit after giving it a 20 % of discount so the left side term indicates the discounted rate and the right side indicates the profit or the selling price.
