A simplified version of a DC grid-connected solar PV system is shown in Figure 3. The solar output function depends on the solar irradiation and the load, which will be determined separately.

a) Develop a transfer function for the input voltage Vin and output voltage Vout. Neglecting the switch and assuming the initial conditions are zero.
b) If the switch characteristics are given by s(t) = (1 - (104t + 1)e^(-10000t)), use the Laplace transform table given on page 223 of the textbook (Table 7.1) to determine the transfer function for the switch.
c) For a control operation, the block diagram for the above system can be shown as:
