Which of the following best describes difference between digestion of glucose versus starch? Both glucose and starch must be broken down into smaller molecules before it can be absorbed by the body. Starch must be broken down into monosaccharides before it can be absorbed in the small intestine. Glucose does not need to be broken down before absorption.
