What are the main differences and similarities between bacterial chromosomes and plasmids? (select all that apply) Plasmids and bacterial chromosomes are both circular. Plasmids are less likely to be transferred during conjugation than the bacterial chromosome because of their large size. Plasmids are important for biotechnology applications because they allow for bacteria to produce important proteins for human use.
