The genetic code includes 61 codons that code for the 20 amino acids used to make proteins. Only 32 tRNAs (with different anticodons) are required to 'read' these 61 codons. Only 20 aminoacyl tRNA synthetases are required to charge (put amino acids on) these tRNAs. How is it possible for 32 tRNAs to read 61 codons?
